Mahatma Gandhi University (MG University), Kottayam invites Applications for 2011 Admissions to the following Self - Financing PG Courses at various centre. The Eligibility Criterias are also mentioned below:

A) University College of Medical Education

(i) MSc Nursing

• Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing
• Medical Surgical
• Community Health
• Child Health
• Mental Health

Minimum 55% aggregate marks in regular BSc Nursing of M.G University or equivalent degree from an Institution / University recognized by INC / KNC and registered with KNC and should have one year work experience.

(ii) MPT (Master of Physiotherapy)

BPT with 50% marks.

(iii) M.Sc. Medical Anatomy

Second class B.Sc Degree in Zoology or any of the following Para Medical Sciences -

• B.Sc Nursing
• B.Sc Medical Microbiology
• BMRT
• BPT
• B.Sc MLT.

10% Weightage will be given to Post Graduate qualification like M.Sc Zoology, B.Ed Natural Science etc. 2 seats are reserved for Medical Graduate (MBBS,BDS,BHMS,BAMS).

(iv) M.Sc Medical Bio - Chemistry

Any one of the following degrees with atleast 50% marks in the science subjects.

• B.Sc in Medical Biochemistry / Medical Laboratory Technology / Medical Microbiology / Medical Genetics.
• B.Sc in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Genetics / Bioinformatics
• B.Sc in Zoology / Botany with Biochemistry / Chemistry as a subsidiary
• B.Sc in Chemistry with Biological sciences at the Plus Two level
• Any other Bachelor Degree in Biomedical sciences / Health sciences / Life Sciences with Bio chemistry as one of the subjects.
• Any other Degree approved as equivalent thereto by the Mahatma Gandhi University.

(v) M. Applied Science (Medical Documentation)

Any Degree with 50% marks in optionals.

(vi) M. Applied Science (Bio - Medical Instrumentation)

B.Sc. in Maths / Physics / Computer Science / Computer Application / Electronics as Main or Subsidiary / BMRT (50% marks).

(vii) M.Sc. (Medical Microbiology)

4 year B.Sc. Medical Microbiology with 50% marks.

(viii) MHA (Master of Hospital Administration)

Any Degree with 50% marks or Post Graduation.

(ix) MPH (Master of Public Health)

Any Degree with 50% marks or Post Graduation.

(x) M.Pharm.

• Pharmaceutics
• Pharmacognosy
• Pharmacology
• Pharmaceutical Chemistry

B.Pharm Degree of M.G University or recognized as equivalent, with not less than 60% marks for all the four years of the B.Pharm Exam taken together from an institution recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India.

B) University College of Medical Education

(xi) MSc Computer Science

BSc degree in Maths / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the subjects (main or sub) Or BCA / B Tech degree with not less than 55% marks in Optional subjects.

(xii) MCA

A pass in any recognized degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Maths in 10+2 level or a pass in any recognized bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Maths / Statistics as one of the subjects or a pass in BCA degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized University.

(xiii) M.Sc. ITCC. (Information Technology & Computer Communication)

BSc. IT / BCA / B.Sc. Degree with Maths / Computer Science / Statistics as one of the subject with 55% marks. 5% marks will be derated for every additional chance. Those who have passed in more than three chances are not eligible.

(xiv) M.Sc. Applied Electronics

B.Sc. Degree in Electronics / Computer Science / Physics with 50% marks excluding languages.

(xv) M.Sc. Computer Engineering and Network Technology

B.Sc. Degree with Maths / Statistics / Computer Science as one of the subjects or BSc IT / B.Tech. / BCA / B.Sc. (Computer / Electronics) degree with 50% marks.

C) University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha

(xvi) M.Tech Applied Electronics

BTech degree in Electronics Engg / Electronics & Comm.Engg / Applied Electronics Engg / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engg / Electronics & Instrumentation Engg / Electrical & Electronics Engg with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent.

D) Department of Communication and Journalism

(xvii) M.C.J. (Master of Communication and Journalism)

45% marks in any degree

D) Department of Library and Information Science

(xviii) M.L.I.Sc. (Master of Library and Information Science)

45% marks for B.L.I.Sc.

F) University College of Applied Life Sciences, Pathanamthitta

(xix) M.Sc. Fishery Biology and Aquaculture

Degree in Zoology / Botany / Chemistry with Zoology as a Subsidiary subject or BFSc. or B.Sc. Aquaculture or any other equivalent degree with 55% marks in the optional subjects.
